TOP 10 REASONS
BUSINESSES CHOOSE OUR AGENCY OVER OTHERS

  • Run Quotes to Ensure Quality Benefits at a Fair Price

Our agency is appointed with every health insurance company in Washington State.  From our first meeting (and each renewal afterwards) we run and evaluate every possible quote, ensuring your company receives the most competitive rates and benefits.

  • Review Quotes for Competitiveness and Build Plan Comparison

Once the quotes have been returned from the carriers, our agency will review the raw quotes and build you a simplified Plan Comparison -making it easy to compare the top three rates for your group alongside the most common benefits offered by each carrier.  Plus, we show all the other quotes as well (20+ insurance carriers) – so you can be confident you’re not leaving any option uncovered.

  • Schedule a Time to Review Plan Comparison – Make a Recommendation

Your WHIA Account Manager will review the plan comparison with you and discuss our findings in detail, either in person or over the phone (your choice).  During this time we provide industry insight and expert recommendations in addition to answering any questions you may have.

  • Prepare and Assist with Enrollment Materials

Your dedicated WHIA Account Manager will ensure you have the most up to date enrollment and benefit materials.  They’ll also set up your employee’s paperless enrollment -making enrolling in your benefit plan as simple and efficient as can be.

  • Submit Enrollment Materials to Carriers

Our Account Managers handle all enrollment submissions and act as a liaison between the group administrator and the carrier. This process ensures that your HR staff is never bogged down with questions or issues that can be resolved through our office.

  • Deductible Credit Processing

Our Agency works behind the scenes to ensure all deductibles are credited to groups after initial enrollment. Your WHIA Account Manager will collect the necessary documents from employees and submit them to the new carrier – making this process seamless.

  • Employee Benefit Orientations

Groups are offered a benefit orientation for each enrolling employee – either by phone, in person, webinar, or staff presentation – whatever works best for you.  Your WHIA Account Manager will provide clarification on plans, deductibles, networks, etc. as well as answer any questions your employees may have.  Orientations are not only provided for the group’s initial enrollment, but additionally with each newly enrolling employee. Educating employees at the onset of enrollment ensures less confusion and potential issues later.

  • Track Employee Probationary Periods and Submit Employee Enrollments and Cancellations

Throughout your benefit year there will be changes to your workforce. Our agency will track your new employee’s probationary periods and send you enrollment materials a month in advance to ensure your employee receives ID cards and other necessary benefit information in a timely manner. In the same respect, your WHIA Account Manager will also process any benefit terminations and COBRA notifications.  Our agency will be your one-point of contact to handle all enrollment/termination issues.

  • Rectify Billing Issues

Our agency will also serve as the point of contact for any and all billing issues. We deal with the carrier on your behalf, and perform analysis in regards to overages or any other billing issue that may arise. We work closely with all of the carriers we are appointed with and are able to command resolutions quickly and efficiently.

  • Process Claims

We pride ourselves on customer service, and claims processing is certainly an area where we rise above other brokerages. Your WHIA Account Manager can be reached via phone or email by not only your HR Manager, but also any employee. We work behind the scenes with carriers and providers to ensure that employees’ claims are being billed correctly, and that claims are being processed properly. If there is ever a question or issue, your WHIA Account Manager should be the first person contacted to sort the issue out.

The WHIA Difference: Beyond the List

While the top 10 reasons above speak for themselves, the real differentiator at Washington Health Insurance Agency comes down to one thing: we treat your benefits program as a strategic business asset, not an annual administrative task.

Most brokers in Washington operate on volume. They manage hundreds of clients, rely on carrier overrides and hidden commissions, and show up once a year at renewal to present the same options from the same carriers. WHIA was built on a fundamentally different model.

Our boutique, white-glove approach means every client receives direct access to senior-level expertise not a junior account rep or a 1-800 number. We fly across Washington State to meet with business leaders in person, using our floatplane to personally connect with CEOs, CFOs, and HR teams in communities large and small. That’s not a marketing gimmick  it reflects how seriously we take our commitment to clients.

When you partner with WHIA, you gain access to advanced funding strategies, transparent pharmacy benefit management, claims auditing, HR advisor subscriptions, and compliance attorney support all under one roof, all aligned with your interests, not the carriers’.

We also stand behind our work with a results guarantee: if we can’t demonstrate at least $5,000 in savings, we refund our $2,500 advisory fee. That’s the kind of accountability you won’t find anywhere else in Washington.
